Cat Problem

    Hi there,

    The cat that the weirdo put on before I bought my car is a little cheap. Therefore, it has died within a few months and brought E.M light on. Car got through MOT...just. Something stupid like 0.02% on CO it got through! Phew. BUT, I do want the cat changed. I've been quoted £400 for a proper Citroen one from quite a few garages.

    I have been told that a cheaper one, wether T-approved or not, will bring the E.M light on because it is incompatiable??!

    Also, with my car being registered in March 2000...does it really need a T-Approved cat?!

    Will appreciate any help at all - this has been a recurring problem and I am getting sick of it!

    if you buy proper cheap cats they won't last long. i have a almost new one off a mk1 westcoast (underfloor cat) and the eml light isn't on if its any good to you?

    you can pick up a cat for as little as £23 quid if you know anyone in the trade.
