In a bit of a pickle

My 02 vtr (45mm drop) just failed it's MOT because of movement in the rear wheels (nackered rear beam).

I was just wondering how much it would cost to replace it/get it fixed?

Plus I need to get it all sorted by the beginning of November as I need to drive up north.

    Help!

you can get a second hand beam for 80 - 150

A second hand one might be fucked so you have to be careful and check before you buy. New ones are in the 400 quid range

    get it refurbished

Depends how much money you have got in all honesty

Best option is a refurb beam which is about £350 from IMAxels (or similar) and comes with a 12 month warranty......plus it will last a good few years as long as it's not abused.

Other option is a second hand beam which can be got for £50-£150 but will have no warranty and could either be fubared already or not last much longer.

You could be lucky with a 2nd hand one and it lasts for years or you could be unlucky and it lasts a few months.

Although the refurb may cost 3-4 times a second hand one, you could end up buying more than 3-4 second hand beams + fitting in the time a refurb will last for and some.....if that makes sense lol

I'd guess so, but wouldn't advise it.

IM Axles do refurbed beams for £200 fitted IIRC.
