I own a Saxo 1.1 Desire, got some real issues with my gears.I bought my car about a year ago, and the gear changes were clunky as hell, so i had it checked out, was told i needed a new clutch, gearbox and someone fitted the wrong catpipe to my car, so needed a new one of those aswell. The new clutch doesn't seem to be the problem though.
So had that sorted and the car ran sweet for about 4 months, now the gear changes are getting stiff again, i can only select first gear if the engine is switched off or the car is rolling slowly to a stop, reverse gear grinds every time i try and select it. The rest of the gears are a bit stiff, but they still work.....barely.
However I can select all the gears fine when the engine is off(not that it helps me a great deal)
To be honest i'm not great when it comes to cars, a bit of advice would be much appreciated and a hell of a lot cheaper for me. If there's any more information I can add to help this then please ask.
