worth modding a vtr?

is it worth modding a vtr do you reckon? cos i know if i put a vts engine id get more power to the pound. but icant afford the insurance on the vts engine as im only 19.
so do you think its really worth modding the engine of the vtr, induction kit, manifold, cams, remap etc? or just leave it?

    thanks

to be honest i think with all the mods that ud have to declare the insurance would be pretty much the same as it would be if you put in a VTS engine.

vts mate unless your only going to lightly modify the engine for example.exhaust and induction kit. if your thinking of going for cams etc then go vts.

yeh no point in modding a vtr engine unless your going to go the whole way and change the engine lol

i have just started to realise that, now im thinking about selling up!

but i wouldnt get a vts after a vtr

im sticking with the vtr, im going to prove you can make them uber quick.

just boils down to cash mate. if you want big power its going to cost you.
same goes with any car tho, wether its a vtr, vts, evo or scooby. if you want to make it faster than standard, its going to cost a few quid

any cars potential, but when is it the right one to start modding. its like saying start with 172 and not a vts.its all hindsight. now mines faster than 172 i think what if i started on a clio, you cant win, lol if you happy with modding it doesnt matter, and im sure youve already decided anyway.

the way i see it, is that my cars paid for. she has never had any major problems. i carnt see the point in spending a fortune on a new car, just to start modding it again.
im in love with the car, its has great handling and shows up a number of bigger cars the way it is now.
so im spending a few quid on the engine to make it awesome, each to their own, i know that i will never get the money back, but the look on peoples face when i dust them in a ickle boosted vtr will be worth it! LMBO she is going to be my toy for when im home, a few track days here and there too

    yeh true ^^

but if i could do it again would buy a vts and modd it easier that way

but as has been said depends how far your wallet can go....

and how long you plan on having the car?
