I have a 2000 vtr and after having it a few months ive started to fully repair it, just changed back axle, fixed wiring fault on rear and fitted powerflow exhaust. Still to do is antirollbar link, headlight, wheelbearing, welding and doorpins. Just after advice really. Is there anywhere that sells uprated bushes for back axle as i was to repair old one, do xsara vts brakes fit as im planning on changing them, how much work is involved in going to a vts from vtr, and is there anywhere that sells sills except citreon(£75+vat, needs to be ordered from france
) any advice would be appriciated

#2Also airbag light is on constantly, but somebody has been at the connecters under the seats and has put resistors bridging the wires from the floor, any simple checks i can do?

#3yes theres loads of companys that will sell you uprated bushes, erm not sur eon the brakes most people put brembos on off the 406 coupe. i doubt anyone will sell the sills do you need a whole sill or just a patch out of it ? .
and for a airbag light either the person before you has done some dodgy shizz or on your ecu you will have a fault code with shows that the pretensioners and airbag have been charged but not used. find someone who has a fault code reader they should be able to delete the code for you. and if you need to know what the code means just pm me . -
#4Its a whole sill
i work in a garage just never have time to plug mine in, since i plan on keeping it and getting it sorted just hope i dont need new airbag! The 406 fit front and rear? Also is it just a case of swapping flexis calipers discs and pads?

#5don't bother with brembos or 283s, get a set of 266s off a berlingo/306/206, discs, calipers and mounts, fit under standard r rims and more the adequate

#6Which exactly would you reccomend? Also id be wanting to use bosch discs and pads, are they good in comparison to say, green stuff or something?
also any reccomendations for uprated bushes?
Cheers -
#7i'd get the battery tested, most motor factors offer a free battery and alternator test, after that check all earths are present and clean. For suspension bushes, theres a variety of choice, OE are good enough for comfort and road use, depends what you want from a car really. Discs and pads, again, for road use, APEC,Mintex,Bosch etc are all good, just steer clear of ebay no-name specials, they're cheap for a reason
