  3. #3

  4. #4
Doing 45mph and in 2nd gear? Must have been 'ragging' the shiz out your car then.
  5. #5
lol srs though disconect battery for half hour it resets ecu and eml
  6. #6
okay mate will give it a go
  7. #7
if that dont work if you come to the meet tonto might be able to plug it into diagnostic and find out why eml is on
  8. #8
Is there not a problems/queries section? Just wondering
  9. #9
There should be a section entitled "problems after I'm ragging the shit out of it"

45mph in second in a VTR isn't ragging the shot out of it. They do just over 60 in second. Saying the limiter sounds different is questionable though lol

Am i the only one that doesnt take his vtr over 4k rpm?

Why? Once mines warm (I like to do a good 5 miles first) I see no problem with revving it. The limiter has only cut in once or twice but it seems to come in really quick on VTR's? It's all really well serviced and up to temperature so every now and then I'll give it some stick lol. Saying that it's probably in three gears once a fortnight at the most, otherwise I take it quite easy.

May just be me but I found the VTR a bit shite after 4k anyway...........then I got a 16v and realised that 4k was a minimum

Yeah mine felt a little strangled after 4k but I put a green cotton panel filter in and it seems to pull much stronger now.

bouncing off the limiter is. Smells like OP cooked his bottom lambda sensor and cat converter to death

I think mine would piss 60 in 2nd but i wouldnt want to try it, People can tell when a saxo's been ragged when you go to sell it..

Mines in extremely good condition for it's age and i want it to stay that way!

The engine management light comes on on mine all the time after long runs to work, etc..... I just turn it off via the eBay special. They're known as "phantom faults" aka where garages will rip you off!! My car runs perfect, and they only come on due to emissions. As Saxo VTRs are pre 2004, is won't effect the MOT.
