theyre always on here or 106owners. so cheap these days aswell. i struggled to sell my last set. were in good condition and only got £115 for them

dont retrim vtr seats. they look gay, the headrests are a funny shape and they barely have any side bolsters. non airbagged gti seats have a nice 'bucket' type of shape to them and hold you in well

All of these, ebay would be my number one choice

I dont know about any guides - try searching if you want.
however, they are easy to remove:

Fronts need the 4 bolts removing - one on each corner of the seats frame (you may need to slide seat forward/back to get to them all) and as you take it out, unplug the wire that goes to the seats for the seatbelt tensioner

for the backs, go in the boot, fold the back forward and undo the 4 nuts (two on each side near floor of the boot). Then just remove that.
Then for the base of the seat, just lift it up and undo the clips that the base is hinged on (cant remember how its held on)

Its all quite easy to do as long as you have a set of torx bits, a ratchet and some sockets, you'll be fine

tilt the base forward then it just lifts up and out
