glowing manifold pipes 1 and 4

   hi guys where to start
   my oil cooler on my vts started leaking and sprayed oil all over my engine bay was spraying oil onto my heat wrapped manifold which started to glow a cherry red after i drove it.
   just changed the oil cooler and now theres no oil coming out but my manifold was still glowing red after i took it for a short drive.
   i assume this is just the manifold burning the oil which is still assorbed within the heat wrap?
   could it be anything else tho ??

   Any chance its a Raceland manifold? Mine glows after I been for a drive as do a few others I know. Something to do with the metal been pretty thin. Maybe you just not noticed it with it been wrapped before.

   i have no idea on the make but i assume it is kid told me he brought it off kam racing and was the cheaper one
   yer that could be true but glowing through the heat wrap now just seems wierd :/

   Happens a lot mate looks cool as F**k mate. Just the thin metal getting heated up by the super heated exhaust gases.

   it glows because its thin as paper ==and the heat wrapping is keeping the heat in.
