what are the odds that the clutch cable has stretched?

That's a kit, means you got to put it together. Or you could get a valeo for £70 - 80 odd quid. Maybe you should give the ebay seller a ring?

A cable will always stretch or even break, then the amount of stretch is more relative to how long is a piece of string.

i know its a kit that needs putting together, fitting this will be a piece of piss..

i know one thing, you'll be glad fitting it is a piece of piss, as from most peoples experience on here of cheap clutches you'll be doing it again very soon. Just go and get a Valeo one from the motor factors.

Anyways, thanks for your help guys,.. fitting this clutch will be fine,.. im only fitting it because i havn't got the heart to sell it on with clutch slip, the type of slip you dont notice until the car is yours and you can drive it the way you want.. unlike the plum that sold it to me!.

am undecided on selling yet,.. i have a few things on ebay that should cover a VTS transplant and service,.. if my luck is in, i will be keeping this car..
