Advice needed alternator belt/pulley

  1. #1
Hey all I own a 99 mk2 vts. the other day the rubber insert on the pulley that drives the alternator perished causing the pulley to break into 2 pieces. Stupidly I thought the solid 1 off a mk2 vtr would fit lol. It seems it is slightly bigger although it lines up ok. Could anyone advise me on what belt to get? Maybe a longer say a 5pk800? Or run a vtr belt and have no tensioner? Or am I going to have to source the correct pulley? Many thanks!
