VTS Lambda Questions.

   Currently I am need of a sensor, I do have a green plugged one but the plug it connects into is blue and won't fit. I heard about people snapping the little nobble bit off the plug so you can fit it into the harness. Will this effect it in anyway?
   
   Also, when I never had the lambda plugged in, I turned over the car, but the engine light didn't come on?
   
   Advice would be great!
   
   Also do I need 2!? Or just one.

   early engines just have one not sure about later mk2 ones mine doesnt have one at all as it ran terrible with it plugged in so binned it lol runs fine now and fuel consumption is good and passed emitions fine.in fact i might have one if you cover postage you can have it
