Slugish pick up and loss of power

   Yesterday my saxo started to feel different than normal, the exhaust has gone quieter, the pick up in low gears is terrible and there has been a significant loss of power.
   
   Its a 1.1 1999 single point injection, anyone have any idea what it might be?

   By pick up I'm going to assume you mean acceleration, any chance it could be your clutch?

   Did you buy some shit fuel from tescos?
   Are your tyre pressures low?
   Did you buy some shitty tyres?
   Are you running on dead oil?
   are you running with a wet air filter?
   when was it last serviced?
   etc.

   Fuel was from Esso, tyre pressures are all fine and checked weekly, air filter seems fine. Not sure when it was last serviced going to do it this weekend.
