   heyyy back again haha i just filled up well i thought i did £40 in but only took me to half way is that rite?

   should go over halfway unless you have run it on redlight for a long time lol

   +1 does go over 1/2 way on mine with £40.00 in the tank.

   it was close to bottom but surely 40 pound would take it up over halfway im talking its under half way line once i filed up lol. plus took me 20 just to get it out the red the other day and then the next day it was back in red that sound like the sender unit gone?

   How long is a piece of string etc. Divide by the age of the captain and add how long it takes for a cannon to cool down.

   45 litre tank, even on complete empty thats £63 to fill a tank on £1.40 a litre (overpriced anyway) so £40 should definitely be over 1/2 way.
   
   Should be getting on for 3/4 from near empty

   fook me £40 will fill my saxo tank to the point i have to be carefull that it don't piss back out the hole i fill it up on payday and it lasts a month untill the light comes on, sometimes i have to drive on the light for 2 days untill payday but never paid more than £40 to fill. but is currently max around here went to £133.9

    Sounds to me like you need to find somewhere cheaper to buy fuel! £30 normally takes me from light on to half a tank.

    fuel by me is 1.31 and i have done 30 miles im on red already and i dont speed either soo sumin must be wrong lol

    Have you considered your fuel gauge sensor might be buggered?

    Sure it's not overfueling? Can you smell fuel when the engine is idling or revving?
    
    My red light came on a few days back, stuck £30 in and it took it to just over half and Ive done 200 miles and the red light is still not back on and that's in a VTS with a heavy foot.

    Rather than putting 10 in a time, try and fill it up. If its to the point no more will go in and it says it isnt full, its the sender

    yea i can smell abit of petrol on start up and if i boot it tbh what would cause tat a lambda sensor isit?

    Yeah could be a dodgy lambda sensor giving the wrong information to the ECU causing it to dump more fuel in.
    
    Remove the Lambda (s), take picture and either post it or describe what the end of it looks like.

    okay mate cheers i put 40 in on sat and i now on red light but it only went to half tank on 40 lol

    £40 in mine from bottom of red is in between half and 3/4's for me..

    Have your dials ever been taken out?
    When I changed the dial faces in my old clio I didn't put the fuel needle quite back on in the right place, so it never reached full and went below empty, hope that makes sense
