   Okay how do you change them I dont understand how they come apart to slide the new boot on. Need help p.s sorry if in the wrong section

   You can change just the boot, I watched mechanic do this recently on my car with a strectchy boot. Not sure how he did it but had a sort of tube device that was wide enough at one end to put the new boot on.

   The inner joint you can split, the outer joint will require a 'Stretchy boot'

   Okay so I take it you cut the old boot off and stretch the new one over the splined shaft etc ?

   For the outer one yes, you'll need a propper cone to stretch it over and plenty of silicone spray or Fairy liquid. The kits you buy on enay are okay but the cones are crap.
