Starter button, general dash advice. Please help.

    OK as mentioned in a previous thread; The starter button needs a new home as it looked god awful where I had it before (up in the array of blanks/switches). Iv been thinking of putting it where the cig lighter is. And also wondering where I could relocate the cig lighter to. I was thinking about putting it in the glove compartment but that would mean taking the whole dash off.

    I was also thinking of doing away with the ash tray as I never use it and put a section of black perspex in its place to provide a suitable mounting location for heated seat switches. As they will be a seriously tight fit to mount on a blank. I think they are 20mm in diameter. As said before somewhere I want the dash looking tidy.

    PS. What is with halfords pricing scheme on fuses? Today I bought 120 assorted for £7.99 however they were also selling pairs for £1.79. Have they got it wrong or are they just trying to get folk to buy the more expensive 120 peice set?

    i got my cig lighter in the coin tray on lower console very well hidden and better place for sat nav as u dont smash your knuckles on the plug in bit

    marcusd, Thats a brilliant idea. Did you reuse the original one or get a new one?

    Ive seen that gear stick before, and its a good enough idea. However seeing it in person, it feels/looks very cheep and plasticy. Not nice
