lowering question ( includes picture )

  1. #1
hello this is probs a easy answer but i dont know much about lowering

here is a picture of my mates old vtr

i have the springs he had of this car and the springs say 40mm but its clear in the pic that it isnt 40mm ive asked him this and he said he doesn't know why it was this low but could be due to having shortened front dampers would having shortened front dampers drop the car a extra ( estimate ) 20mm

i thought the dampers adjusted to the height of the spring and imo that looks lower than 60mm aswell

Shorter shocks dont make the car lower.

Looks to be 60mm front 60 to 70 rear.

Lol, I could only really go 40mm on the front of mine due to the state of the roads round here.

I would imagine he purchased 40mm 1.1 lowering springs rather than vtr ones, the extra weight of the engine has put it down about 20mm extra.

The shocks shouldnt make a difference mate really, they can do if you have exdtremely short shocks but i dont think any on the market will do it.
