VT kit

   Hey guys,
   I've done a quick search for VT kit on a 5 door desire.
   
   I havent seemed to find any guides/ how too's, would i just need:
   
   Full VT kit, an extra pair of side skirts, and and two extra rear arch?
   
   If i bought all the parts the same as required, would I need to do any colouring?
   
   How technically difficult is it, or would it be a simple bolt off, bolt on, stick on job?

   tbh a vt kit on a 5 door would involve a fair amount of chopping, plastic welding and filler work and unless you are confident in that area it may be best to let someone else (bodyshop) tackle it. Can't say I've ever seen it done before?

   Theres a couple of VT 5 doors I've seen on here I'm sure.
   
   I don't think it'd necessarily be hard, just alot of patience would be required.
   
   You'd have to cut the arch from the rear vt panels, and cut abit off the other end I'd have thought so i sits on the door. Possibly a bit from the front door panels too, if 5 door front doors are shorter than 3 door ones?

   Almost certain that the front doors on a 5 door are shorter?

   Also all very well triming the kit down but the door sections on a VT are raised so, if you chop it, it would look much better with an edge put back otherwise it would look like a VT kit smashed onto a 5 door.

   Well, the front doors are shorter, but the front won't be any different.
   
   The side i believe it would be a cut and stick kind of job, and the back arch will be the same, and can like merge with the side

   I dont think its even possible mate as the back arch would be on the door?
   
   If you can do it, it would be a complete pain, probably easier to buy a 3 door model. I fitted a kit to my saxo and it was hard let alone with all that cutting etc

    Yeah the only thing that would bother me is the rear quarter only having that tiny bit of arch, doesn't blend in enough!

    Don't really like the look of a 5 door with VT kit .

    I'm considering doing this with my 3 door this weekend...

    How would you blend it in? Like the door panel going into the flat arch?
    
    Surely the front would then look wider than the front?

    I was thinking as I have a desire, just have arch, minus side trim, side skirt, and front bumper
