   i was just wondering, if i got the mk2 front end, ie, wings, bonnet, bumper and lights. would they just go on to a mk1 as a simple straight swap, or is there a difference to the chassis?

   but bumpers are the same on mk1 and 2 anyway

   You need,
   
   Headlights
   Bonnet
   Slam pannel
   Wings
   
   The chasis the same and so is the bumper.

   ive got all the bits for a mk2 front conversion cus i was gonna do it but i might be tempted to sell..

   as said, you just need headlights, bonnet, wings, slam panel and under headlight trims
   
   need a bit of chopping/welding to get the slam panel on the chassis legs but once thats on its all just bolt on

   I have just done it and the only moding i hade to do is drill the spot welds of two metal brackets for the slam panel to fit then drill two new holes to fix the slam panel in thats it.
