    So heres the problem....
i crashed in to a pole a while back ( I know stupid but it happens) smashed my rear far light...
I replace it no problem. Ever since then ive been having stupid problems with my near side rear light.

When i press my break mt dashboard lights up.
Then if i have my lights on and press the break the whole near side rear light goes dark..

Ive check all the bulbs and they all work. I cant find a crack in the bulb holder and I dont know what it is...

This video below is my dashboard when it lights up as i press the brake.

check the earth for the brake light, and check that you have a dual filament bulb in the rear/brake light causes lots of funny problems if you put a single filament in there

You have either fitted the stop/tail light bulb incorrectly or the wrong way round, or you've fitted a single filament bulb in a double filament holder on one side or the other
Just read you've checked the bulbs are correct.
Make sure they are in the right way round.
Disconnect one side at a time to see which one is causing the problem

Check the bulb is dual fillament, check the earth for the rear light and change fuse number 12. i had this exact thing except i didn't hit a pole, it just hjappened and then my left rear light wouldn't work no matter what i did. turns out the earth was rusted so cleaned it up and replaced the fuse.

I had this exact same problem & it was the high level(3rd brake light)the circuit board had a crack in it causing the problem you describe.

I think i`m right in saying that if you remove the plastic trims that your parcel shelf sits on in the boot then there`s 1 each side.
