Bump, now battery light.

Okay, I have a fooked clutched, took off qulickly in wet, wheelspinned, (I promise officer!! ) Went over a shit bit of road then bumpy bumpy, and the battery light came on.

Now you know that noise when you put your ignition to the stage just before it starts, it makes a bzzzzzzzutttt noise for like a second, sounds like something turning on. Yeah well, that noise doesn't stop now and I can hear it (I think) when I turn the engine on (hard to say) I popped the hood and the PAS fluid pump is vibrating like fook, also a rattly sound (my car rattles anyways, think it might be my heatshield).

Anyways, anyone got any clue what I done? This was a week ago now, should get it looked at, but have very few windows of free time.

Does the car actually start up?As you may have tripped the inertia switch (red button)at the back of the engine.Try pressing it.

It works fine, been driving it for a week lol, havent noticed anything different at all. Just the noise.

How do I get to the back of the engine? Underneath? Can't really fit under the car lol.

It's the battery light that makes me worry, electrical faults can be causing alot of damage..

Nothing noticeable except the sound. I'll have the mechanic have a gander when I finally get round to getting my rattle fixed...

Problem is he is useless to get hold of lol, argh. I'm not sure how to check anything on cars to be honest, except my fluid levels etc. Not idea where to look for cables etc, can't get under my car don't have ramps or a jack lol. First car though, learning curve.

There`s a relay under the ecu (fuel pump relay)which can if faulty buzz all the time.

In my experience battery light tends to point towards alternator/charging issues. Bad earths usually result in weird things happening when they shouldn't (all lights dimming when your inductors on etc).

Is the car starting alright? The noise you hear when you put the ignition on is the fuel pump priming (its under the seat behind the driver)
