taking for ever to start

   hiya al sometimes my car will turn over loads of times before slowly starting its an new battery and there is nothing wrong with the alternator. no warning lights and sometimes the rev will go to stall but it wont any ideas as i got mot coming up very soon cheers guys

   Blocked injectors or fuel lines maybe.

   i dont know mate tbh it does smell abit once it starts

   Sounds like your injectors are blocked mine does it sometimes,try running some injector cleaner through your fuel system.

   i tried that with red ex seemed to make it worse lol

   Try some Wynn`s injector cleaner,either that have the injectors ultrasonically cleaned.

   okayt mate cheers could it also be caused by the idle control valve?

   When you get blocked injectors all the time, the next logic move is to change your fuel filter. I would even have the tank flushed tbh.

    does anybody know where the fuel filter is on the saxo i know on my old cars it was under the body

    Passanger side rear just attached near the edge of the fuel tank.

    Your spark plus all in good nick? I noticed a definite increase in my saxos performance after I did a full service on it last weekend.

    yea mate all spot on i think its going to be eitha coil pack or icv because when im driving and come to a stop the revs will sometimes drop to like 200 and bounce back up it will do it a few times
