knocking noise?

    hiya guys got a saxo xs and had only recently started to clonk on my left side when i go over bumps?I have bounched the car up and down and i get no glunk noise its only the passeneger side? any ideas what could be

    common problem with saxos, --- check for a little lepricorn under your arch, sometimes they breed there in the winter, if there is such an outbreak just pressure hose him off, or make a trail of gold and a rainbow with your housepipe,

    seriously could be anything make, whack your wheel on full lock and feel for any play in the bars, then go from there.. its hard to pinpoint there kinda noises

    It could be a number of things, loose shock, worn balljoint, worn lower arm bushes or droplinks.

    If you want to drive it to Horsham (or near enough) then i'm happy to take a look over it for you.

    mine made a slight knocking noise over bumps about 5 mintutes before my ball joint collapsed and discoonecting the wheel from it

    I dont charge to Diagnose as long as i'm doing the repair work. Otherwise it's £25 per hour.

    hiya djt iv found out what the knocking noise was on mine it was my roll bar bracket that snapped lol i had to take the wheel off and try to get the broken screw out of the arm which i had to take the suspension arm off? in the end i couldnt get the broken screw out so had to go to the scrap yard to get another suspension arm so id advise u whatever side your knocking is on to check ur suspension arm and your roll bar bracket.and kris do u do weilding?

    its a bit dark to check now but will look at it tomorow, might even be able to sort it over the weekend if thats what it is, fingers crossed! cheers mate

    hiya djt yeh defo check your roll bar bracket or the arm on what everside it is i got my new susspension arm tis morning 15 quid and was pretty lucky as it was hardley worn from scrap yard took half hour to take off and about a hr to put on lol but finally back on the road now
