Most stubborn torsion bars! Wizards please helpp!

Tried to lower the rear of my car again 2day. Thought we were making progress after got the washers out and started beating it with a 7lbs sledge, lump hammers and a strong steel bar. 5-6 hours later the bar hasn't moved at all we've used a blow torch, the socket method as well as beating still and a SDS hammer.

Is it actually suppose to be this hard? I'm not being a wimp at all when swinging the sledge and was actually bending the steel bar from hitting it so hard.

I know theres a few legends/wizards on here, please could you give me some advice? Would it be easier to remove the rear beam then try hitting it again or another way with the beam off the car?

Any help would be much appreciated ,

    Kurt

Loads of coke in there, the acid in it eats most rust.

    bigger hammer or bigger muscles

heat will help but ultimately force is the only way.

Cheers for the quick reply guys!

So no real point of removing the beam to do it then?

Think i'll go get a bigger hammer and a thicker bar 2morro then!

Took mine off and filled where the washes go with old oil and heated it up then you can give it a good hit with the hammer as there's no danger of hitting the car
