Important! : 106 GTi

Hey. I recently bought a 1998 R-reg 106 GTi with 98k miles and it has turned out to need rather a lot of attention. I have various problems like

-hesitation in acceleration after gear change (power isn't getting down smoothly) and generally rather jerky gearchange - clutch slipping?

-front washer jets operate only when twisting the stalk which should operate the rear one only (the rear washer jet not working at all)

-glovebox (which pops out on 106) fell out in my case. It has 2 stalks but no idea how to fit it back on and also the steering cowling is impossible to fit back on.

- oil leak from engine block (from filler cap or from the head itself)

-interior vibrates extremely loudly when driving (down to powerflow exhaust I reckon even though it's not touching anything)

-slightly lumpy idle especially from cold possibly sensor on tb?

- Alarm (standard) goes off after a minute of being armed and 2 seperate key remotes one to open the doors and one to lock?

The car does need a damn good service which I'm going to get done soon.

Anyone got any knowledge they could share with me I would much appreciate it

front washer jets, Guessing the pump is/was duff for the front wipers, so someones just swapped the hoses over.

Oil leak could be a cam cover, as some people tend not to reseal them.

With your washer pump someones wired your front washer to the rear pump.I`m not sure if your car uses seperate pumps or not.
