Opinions on these? Tracking Device

Just wondered what peoples opinions on these are and if anyone has experience of them, It just seems that i'm forever messing with my cars suspensions bits etc and my tracking always needs to be done and it would be nice to be able to track it myself and would give me piece of mind that its done right. So.. are they worth the money or should I just keep taking it to the garage? this is what i've been looking at:

What exactly are you constantly messing about with to move your tracking about? The only things you could be playing with to actually affect that are the track rod ends, or the track rods themselves (or the steering rack, but that's not even close to being the suspension). And aside from changing them, I can't see any reason why you'd need to adjust those?

In my experience, tracking is less than £30, so it'd take 3 trips to the garage before that paid for itself. Most people get their tracking checked once a year, so go figure how long it'd be before it paid itself off.

well everytime I have the struts off or change suspension parts, wishbones etc the steering always feels like its been effected after and it seems like i'm having to take it apart alot lately one part breaks after the other at the moment.. lol. you can get them for around the £60 mark off ebay so I thought for that price may be worth it if it works but i guess nothing is going to be as good as the propper kit?

If your constantly having to buy new parts then tbh i`d be looking at the quality of parts your buying & your driving style mate.(not having a go mate)

It's not that often really, cars just at the age where things are getting worn out and due replacement. It was just an idea anyway i'll probably just stick to the garage. cheers

I have a Trackace, depends how many cars it will be used on, we have 3 so paid for itself in a day just on checks, so easy, I was handing out free tracking checks to mates for weeks, just showing off really, novelty has worn off now, easily been borrowed a dozen times in 3 months to correct alignments and I've used it twice more on our cars since I got it for MOT failure repairs, both were lower arms. Can't realy go wrong, simple if anything it is very sensative, thats all you avto get used to.
