what is this and is it broke?

   i had the wheels off my vts, and my furio and to me this one looks bent. not sure what it is maybe anti roll bar? not sure. but when i do turn in the vts sometimes it makes a clunk sound so could it be this???

   track rod end, and no its not "broke" as such.
   
   its gaitor is perished. jack it up, hold the wheel at 3 and 9 oclock and rock it to check for play.
   any knocking noise could be, there, drop links, top mounts, broken spring...
   
   the gaitor is there to protect the balljoint and its grease inside. when it splits and allows crap to get in there, they start to go tits up. but before we say, yes that is at fault for the noise, check other things listed above.
   
   easy to repalce, cheap too. just get your Tracking adjusted after.

   but doesnt it look twisted, like not square on with the threaded bit? the top seems to be on a slight angle.
   
   getting car looked at tomorrow after work, a bloke i know is giving it all the once over. this seems to be part of the list of things wrong lol

   How come you kept this car quiet from us sax-p lot? Have you sold the mango or got both still?

   only picked it up friday mate! lol still got the mango, although its slighty different from my pics now. ie silver vts wheels, standard headlights, different mirrors. but trying to sell it finally lol
