i really want to lower my furio, i have had a set of "60mm" springs under my bed for months now but i refuse to drop it on standard shocks, what will be the best set up to use front and back without bending over backwards for the bank?
shocks for lowering.

#2why do you refuse to lower it on standard shocks?

#3to be honest mate, i was always under the impression that the shocks were not designed to go so low, i don't want to be hitting the bump stops constantly, and in leeds that would be every single road sadly.
if im wrong and the standard shocks can take 60mm then i would do it, am i wrong? -
#4i have heard that. but i have -60mm springs and -100mm on the back on standard shocks. been like that for more than a year. and now its slightly lower on the front with the heavier engine. the roads around my way are not exactly smooth and there is loads of speed bumps. apparently they dont last as long. yes the ride is a bit harsh but never had any bother with them. up to you. imo if i did fuck them i wouldn't care. i look for reasons to upgrade haha. but like i say, well more than a year of harsh driving and mine are fineQuote:to be honest mate, i was always under the impression that the shocks were not designed to go so low, i don't want to be hitting the bump stops constantly, and in leeds that would be every single road sadly.

#5i understand what ur saying mate, i have seen your car and its fucking low, too low for the roads i drive in all honesty.Quote:i have heard that. but i have -60mm springs and -100mm on the back on standard shocks. been like that for more than a year. and now its slightly lower on the front with the heavier engine. the roads around my way are not exactly smooth and there is loads of speed bumps. apparently they dont last as long. yes the ride is a bit harsh but never had any bother with them. up to you. imo if i did fuck them i wouldn't care. i look for reasons to upgrade haha. but like i say, well more than a year of harsh driving and mine are fine
i just dont see the point in "upgrading later" might as well get it all done in one go rather than having to get the shocks changed in a years time.
guess it's a funny one because i cant afford £200 on shocks right now but at the same time i want a snow plough, lol. -
#6my car is too low for the roads around my way. but thats the price i have to pay for the look i like. i even have problems with my steep driveway. i cant afford the shocks either but HAVE a snow plow haha. but still my opinion is upgrade later. i will do it when i can afford and when the time comes that i need to. if you could afford just now then i suppose just go for it. but its not as necessary as made out on here. can you put up with a crashy ride? i can but my mates dont like it. so i tell them to bolt. easy as that haha

#7yea i see what ur saying, not that arsed about what my mates think to be honest, they think/know a saxo is a death trap anyway so am usually passenger in their cars!!Quote:my car is too low for the roads around my way. but thats the price i have to pay for the look i like. i even have problems with my steep driveway. i cant afford the shocks either but HAVE a snow plow haha. but still my opinion is upgrade later. i will do it when i can afford and when the time comes that i need to. if you could afford just now then i suppose just go for it. but its not as necessary as made out on here. can you put up with a crashy ride? i can but my mates dont like it. so i tell them to bolt. easy as that haha
me, myself, no i cant handle a crashy ride, even as standard it's pretty terrible
guess lowering is going to have to wait !!
