HELP PLEASE!! Saxo vtr turbo problem?

    Hi I've got a mk1 Saxo vtr engine with 220 bhp turbo kit on.. Got the loom and ecu n that but the loom not in very good nick.. The car I got is a mk2 2001 vtr with no engine.. Loom still in place and was wondering if I can just cut and join the 3 plug loom into the 1 plug loom plug.. As the turbo wiring for 5th and 6th injectors n that are rite by it so was thinking it would be easy... Don't no to much about saxos as it's my first Saxo project.. Any help?? Regards chez

    you can re plug looms, who told you it had that power? Id be surprised if it hadn't blown up on the boost needed to make 220bhp if its just on 5/6th injectors, so id be wary unless youve dyno proof, got any pics

    90bhp as std --so 220bhp is well over 100% increase????-not inmpossible ,but not likely and if its a t2 turbo on it + std rods =pistons--even less liable to be true

    Blackie, I'm guessing u have the black vtr turbo (very nice car btw).. I dont really no what it's got on it but is has a dastek ecu and a storm ecu big turbo n 5th n sixth injector that's all I really no tbh.. It was out of my friends that he crashed 6 years ago n have a print out of 218bhp at 1.5 bar.. So going by that.. If I find a lecky who nose about looms will it be easy enough to splice mk2 loom into mk1 engine n ecu or shall I just put the battered mk1 loom into the car?

    its easier to splice, ppl on here can do it for you for a price, can you sort some pics? just its very odd that it has 5th and 6th injectors unless these are water injection?... id just like to see

    as if it has a standalone (storm if thats a standalone) or dastek it would use bigger injectors in the standard position

    what is the spec of the engine? and yeah thats my car, 1.5bar is lots of boost

    pm ryanmt or tweeqd.... they should be able to sort your looms out if you post both of them to them

    i cant get the pics up at the moment sorry as i cant get to the engine till tomoz.. will describe as best as i can tho.. it has the normal ecu and a dastek unichip ecu and a smaller storm engineering ecu both atatched to it.. the plug that connects to the standard ecu has got 2 other plugs coming from it into each other ecus.. then a another wire coming off it going over to the pipe that goes onto where the air intake is (the one with the dump valve) plugging into 2 injectors built into the pipe.. not sure what the spec of the engine is tbh all i no is that it owes the kid £6000 n got print out of 218bhp at interpro.. yeh ive beeen looking at ur car alot on here and using as much info to help me in this project.. very smart car.. im glad its easier to splice as i dont really want to strip the whole car lol

    I'd say it's forged blackie, 6grand will get you that and a turbo to match 220 bhp plus ecu plus mapping, plus brakes suspension all extras. the storm ecu is probably a monitor or boost Module or something similar mate. Or even tbh the storm could be the water injection controller. As for the loom issue you seriously want some one who knows what they are doing to look at it for you mate, if. It owes 6gs you have a serious bit of kit. So get it done properly. Get as many pics as you can please, loads on here will be able to help.

    If the loom is bad now is the time to fit a stand alone ,dump the extra injectors and fit larger ones and a new loom ,it wil be better in the long run

    if it was 6 year ago a basic kit with fitting and mapping would cost that alone steve, im with john, sell the dastek etc and get a proper standalone, that loom sounds like itll be a nightmare, will cause you probs, see the datashift section of the affiliates
