Suspension lowering (kind of urgent)

  1. #1
ok so ive been planning on dropping my car 50mm as it seems like a sensible yet good looking height but i would love it 60mm but as this will be my first car as of next june i dont want it to be awkward for my first time driving
im ordering a new suspension kit tonight, (christmas present) and dont know how low to go? would really appreciate opinions, thanks
    nathan.

Ive had my saxo torsion bar at 50, ended up getting borred as it doesnt look great so slammed it at about 80. I would go for 60 as its still a decent ride

general rule of thumb is 40mm max for handling, 50+ for looks, the higher you go the more stress it puts on other parts....

if your planning on running a lower brace then bear in mind even at 40mm it will scrape if you cant go over both / over the lower part...

if ur going all out grind the bumpstops off and drop down 120 mm

    depends on your budget
i personally dont like the look of saxos any higher than 60mm lowered. 60mm's fine with bumps, barely ever scrapes at that height

I meant 60mm's fine with speedbumps...
with that budget id just get the spax or apex kit from kamracing. The spax 60mm kit will say it lowers 60mm but they only do about 50mm. I think the apex kit is cheaper and more popular these days. Although i bought the spax kit once and couldnt fault it. a bit firm but i like it like that lol
