Hey guys, my Saxo eastcoast still won't start, had the auto electrician look it over but he could not fix it, the immobilizer light is still on my dads also checked all earth and fuses, I've been reading about the ecu being locked so could this be my problem? If so how do I know if it is locked?

Really can't afford 100 quid Citroën are quoting for looking at the car
    many thanks

Buy a 2nd hand one for about £30 off here then.

How would a 2nd one work? Would I just take out the old ecu and put the new one in and would i need anything else?

    Thanks guys

you'll need to remove the imobiliser box before putting hte other ecu on. best to get one thats been unlocked by removing the box with the car runing.

A second ECU will only work on your car if it is unlocked.

Let me know what ECU your car has got and we may be able to unlock it for you,

    Thanks

might not be a ecu mine did this and it was the key reader where the ignition barrel is it was loose or something and when i got to the point where i wanted to punch some thing i hit that with a screwdriver and ll the dash lit up so try that , but could be the key thingie
