Oil Pressure

My oil light is on and i have been told it could be the oil pressure. How would I check this ?

Don`t know about checking the pressure but it could be anything from an oil pressure switch to a blocked oil pump(in the sump)causing the light to come on.

It has had a new oil pressure switch and it did nothing, I have been told that giving it a service and a engine flush could sort it out.

Would that sort a blocked pump out if it was that ?

An engine flush would help to clear the oil strainer on the oil pump.Other reasons for low oil pressure sometimes point to either a worn engine or an oil leak.

or it's simply low on oil.

Which is the point I was making ie an oil leak or as you saying just low oil.

It has the correct amount of oil so it's not that.

Well try flushing the oil out & refilling with new oil.Does the engine rattle?

if that doesn't cure it then get a pressure test done on it, if its low then sump needs to come off. Check oil pump strainer isn't blocked, after that its strip down time
