how long does it take to fit fuel pump

    hi just wonderin how long it takes because i asked the mechanic if i could wait while he did it thinkin it aint gonna take long. he said no leave it with me. just looked on search and it sounds a peice of piss.

    15 mins tops dead easy job

    Depending on how quick you are,once you`ve remove the rear seats then 20mins tops(that`s with some leeway)

    plus its a nice relaxing job coz you can have a sit down while u do it

    cheers gonna do it tomorrow save some cash aswell. do i definetly have to take the seat out.

    Yes just the base part plastic cover up electric connector off pipes nock the clamp round with screwdriver unclip pump then re fit in reverse order

    is it easy enough to unclip as the one im takin back to change tomorrow has a broken clip on one side. on the top part where clips push in to the bottom bit ones missing. think someones been a bit rough or couriers

    Ye easy enough just give it a good pull shouldnt break really then line it up and a gentle push and shoild click back in

    Oo I have to fit one of these too. My mechanic said it was a piece of piss too, might just do it myself aswell, save the pennis for xmas. (Or a KAM racing exhaust system )

    Yes mate the pump cover is under the seat,no other way of getting to it.

    ok thought id be able to just pull it up. ill take it out make life easyer.

    you only need the bottom piece out though so not like you need to unbolt anything

    not that hard is it, just done mine twice in about half hour. the one i swapped the broken one for has a dodgy sender so my gauge was up and down like a yoyo. ill be on my 3rd one next better work 3rd time lucky maybe. thanks for the help.

    i finally found a pump that would work earlyer, my 5th now it was off a flat arch though,had no engine in it but the part number on the pump was the same as mine. not put any fuel in yet, runs fine will it read the same on the gauge as im not too sure about it?
