How do I get this exhaust to fit?

    Hello!

I have a powerflow backbox and my current centre pipe seems to slot inside the pipe coming from the backbox and a u shaped bracked secures it.

However, the straight through system I have seems to have a different connector for the backbox (see picture below) which expects some sort of gasket.......can I get my current backbox to fit this centre?

The system (minus) backbox is in the for sale section anyway so not the end of the world if I doesn't fit lol

    Cheers

You'll have to get the welder on and weld on a flange or cut the flare off and clamp it up. Powerflows are custom fitments and dont mate up to the standard systems. Plus they are shit

If I cut the flare off, I think it will be to short to reach the backbox then?

Hmmmm may just sell it all then (including the backbox) and get a new system lol

you might have cut that connector off and weld the other better fitting one on to it

You could always get a bit of pipe to bridge the two. Exhaust places will do that kind of thing, offcuts might even be free. Personally I'd just sell what you have and buy a proper back box

My sportex centre section is the same as that, I had to cut the enf part off for it to fit my magnex backbox

Ahhh I see basing an argument on a technicality are we

Haha can't blame you, at the end of the day if you don't like something...change it The fact you've already told the insurers means it would be rude not to change it as its hassle free

il tell you what i found on my mates car when he brought it. to bits of pipe like that with about 5 layers of cut up beer cans acting as a sleeve to join them together a bit of putty and 2 exhaust clamps. i was honestly suprised at how good it actually was it never leaked and it was very strong . just made me laugh with the beer cans
