Important! : Spare wheel relocation

    iam removing my spare from underneath my car and putting a new alloy in the boot area. just wondered what anyone else is using to secure the wheel to the boot floor?

    dnt no if other people are using tie down ropes? or a bolt through the centre of the wheel through the boot floor?

    will be using the car for track days so just want to no what is best to secure it down

    you can buy spare wheel straps bud.

    just type it in on ebay, there around 15 - 20 quid i think.

    or you can make a strap out of some old ratchet straps

    or ditch spare completely and buy a couple of tins of tyre weld

    Useless if you get a hole in side wall. The way they advertise these products is mis-leading imo.
