brake questions...

   what do people usually go for from 1.4/vtr brakes ?
   
   have 15" 205 GTI alloys on.. looked at either 206 GTI's or theres the 306 GTI 6.. 266mm and 283mm discs so unsure if there would be clearence issues with either ?
   
   and also are they a bolt on fit or need to be modified ?
   
   help appreciated!

   what are you doing with the car? if its solely road use then 266s will be more then enough, 283s off GTi-6 are bloody heavy great things. 307 hdi amongst others also run 283s. They are bolt on with no clearance issues under VTS rims,never tried under 205s. Some variants need a small piece grinding off the corner of one mounting lug to fit saxo struts.
   266s fit under standard R rims so no probs there

   Both the 266 and 283 fit fine under 205gti wheels its a commen upgrade for them

   cheers for the reply.. just want it to stop lol! systems all bled properly and brakes are recentish but still not happy.. looking for bigger as its not getting any slower but at the moment it is mainly road use.
