MK1 bumper to fit MK2

   Hello,
   I have a MK2 saxo and accidentally had a shunt in it, my fault and i'm gutted!
   Anyway, i managed to make a hole in my front bumper and trying to find a replacement from scrap yards has proved incredibly difficult, esp to match the colour.
   I bought one from ebay, same colour, but since getting it have found out that it was off a mk 1 VTR.
   I've had it for ages and some people have said it will fit others say it won't. Took it to a garage and they said outright it won't fit, got a mechanic friend round last night and he made it fit but now it looks a little odd.
   I know i need to get trim for under the headlamps, but the sides of the bumper seem to stick out and aren't flush with the side of the car, granted its better than having a hole in the bumper, but i'm not sure if its just not meant to fit!
   Perhaps someone here can tell me?
   Sorry for my naivety, i'm not very mechanically minded, i just wanted my baby fixed, but can't really afford a brand new bumper and respray.
   Perhaps you could give me some pointers on where to look for a MK2 bumper, or is it just a waiting game?

   all standards bumpers fit both mk1 and mk2

   yeh you need a standard bumper off a mrk1 or mrk2 the vtr or vts are to wide as they have arches on . yours dont and your not hopeless

   you can still fit a vt bumper to a flat arch though

   Yeh, you just cable tie the corners in, looks good too.

    Any FRONT bumper will fit any model saxo. However, with the bumpers from the Furio/VTR and VTS you will need to adjust the brackets a little bit so it sits flush with your standard arches
    
    This is how the top model bumper would look on a flat arch

    Thank you, i will tell the husband your suggestions and hopefully he can get it to fit
    I am not sure of the colour code, but the bumper i bought was wicked red and its the same colour, i don't suppose you have side trim in stock also?
