Dials connection problem

    None of the dials work in my car, the only part of it which works is the warning lights etc at the bottom. I know it's a connection problem cos i've taken it all out and pushed in the black wires at the back which makes it work again. However when i turn the ignition, they all stop working
    Has anyone else had this problem, and might it be worth just getting a new set of dials?

    Bit odd, but try wiggling the key in the ignition to see if they spring to life for a brief second.
