de cat?

   Cat has split and just been through m.o.t so I'm thinking a de-cat iv gt a standard center and a powerflow back box how loud will it make it was thinking about a straight thru center aswell but don't want it 2 loud,which are best ones and price ect? Any advice cheers

   if you want it loud then get a de-cat with straight through center pipe , i have this fitted with a 3" peco backbox and sound great, it is a bit too loud driving around 3k sometimes but well worth it when you accelerate hard if you want a slightly more subtle noise then keep the center silencer, but you will lose the raspy noise that the decat gives you... as for the best ones i fitted a supersprint manifold and center pipe

   I run a decat with a mid box as i found mine a little too loud for every day use, its a good compromise that ul be happy with.
   
   Loud when u want it... quiet around town etc.
   
   Its worth it just to free up the gas flow and maybe get a few bhp depending on your setup.

    can get a mk1 under-car decat pipe for like £25-30
    
    a decat will only make it a bit louder,it mainly just adds to the raspyness and just makes it sound so much better. if youre lucky you might hear it pop
    
    if you want it louder then remove the centre box

    Ive got a Raceland 4-1 decat manifold on my vtr, with supersprint racetube and 2" back box. it sounds fucking incredible, i get goose bumps everytime i drive it, i absolutely love it.
    
    and because its stripped inside with no sound deadening etc you can hear every little pop and bang. Supersprint race system is one of the best in my opinion, decat and you get big results
    
    guna get a supersprint 4-2-1 manifold eventualy tho.
