Important! : vtr cut out and won't start

   I've got a 99 t reg vtr with a 98bhp engine still using a single plug ecu (was like this when I got it) just been driving along at around 40mph when the car started to bog down and lose power for about 10 seconds before it cut out, pulled up at the side of the road and now it won't start? Turns over fine but doesn't try and fire at all. I can't hear the fuel pump when i put the ignition on but I dont know how loud they are as I can't recall ever hearing it.
   
   Anyone have an idea of what this could be? Thanks in advance

   Did you hit a bad bump?
   
   tried pressing the red button under the bonnet?

   Didn't hit a bump, didn't think about fuel cut off tbh ill try in now

   Haha cheers mate turns out the cut off switch is only cable tied on too so ill have to sort it
