switching seats

   looking to take out my standard vtr seats and put in a set of cobra buckets noticed uner the front seats theres an orange cable coming from underneath the carpet to un der the seats anyone know what it is . . . probably a stupid question but i dont know what they are lol help ?

   They are for the airbags mate.

   cheers it did cross my mind so if im taking out the seats today how do i dissconnect the wires just pull the from the seat or what ?

   It's probably best to disconnect the battery for about 30 mins first otherwise your airbag light will come on when you unplug them.

   right so dissconnect battery for half hour then jus unlplug them from under the seat yeh ?

    i got a westie with expose seats and i got that wire but no airbags. think its for the seatbelt pre tensioners
