    Hi all

I bought my son who is 17 a Saxo 1997 model , body work superb condition and mechanically superb

2 months ago he pulled the rear seat up and there was a massive puddle there , we took out the seat and after a few days its now completly dry and still is , i,m hopint the previous owner did summit daft like take it for a car wash with sunroof open lol

Today we checked the rear seat as we stay in Scotland and get plenty of rain and yeha its still dry

moving onto the following problem and I was wondering if its a common problem within the saxo

My son said when he drives he can hear water sloshing about coming from as he described it the drivers door area but a low as possible , he decided to loosen the bolt that holds the bottom of the drivers wing onto the cill , he took the bolt off and it was like opening a tap as loads of water came pouring out , alos inside the drivers floor and rear floor behind drivers seat is soaking bigtime , any ideas on where this water may be coming from

    many thanx
    George

A common problem is the sunroof leaks but that sounds very bad. Have you done a hpi check on it?

I had a problem similar to this where I had a puddle in my passenger footwell after a heavy night of rain, the sills between the sunroof glass and the car needed to be sealed down again, check for that.

Also check for blockages in the drainage pipes that leads out of the sunroof.

You can access it by taking off the headlining, there's quite a few torx screws (unsure of size, sorry), a couple in the sunvisors, the center plastic that holds the light, and the grab handles.

The headlining is what covers the interior of the car above your head.
