hi guys i have a mk1 saxo vtr. only brought it a few days ago. drove it home all was fine went to do some work on it the following day all was fine. until i disconnected the battery and now when i reconnected the battery i have nothing. no power at all going anywhere. so brought a new battery fitted it and guess what still nothing at all. have tested the battery and it got loads of juice in it. i hate the stupid plastic battery terminals so have replaced them with audio battery terminals gold plated ones that have the screws in to take loads of different sized cables.
i have no lights on dash, etc etc etc
any ideas on what to check would be great.
is there like a master fuse or something that all power goes through before going to the fusebox etc.
i did notice when removing the negative terminal there was like a blue/ green coloured chalky substance all over the wiring and the metal bend before the terminal itself what is this as i cleaned it all off thinking it wasn't meant to be there as never seen it before on any other car
