Spluttering/chokeing/ need some help

   Hi there my car is spluttering hesitating and sort of backfiring.
   
   Its when i drive at low revs and put my foot down it doesnt want to go but then higher the revs it sorts itself out
   
   Did hear the cat may of failed
   
   Mk2 VTS by the way

   also check for holes in the air filter if you have a aftermarket one and air induction pipes

   Does the cat have one way of flow? Obviously out of the exhaust . But if it has been put on back to front if ya get me lol

   Could be something as simple as spark plugs
