Wheel nuts sheared off!!

    3 out of 4 wheels nuts on the drivers rear wheel have sheared off in the hub, one was done quite a while a go by the look of it and 2 by me 2day, the wheel nuts are in very poor condition.

    Anyone got any ideas what i should do, im stumped! Dont wanna be be riding round with one wheel nut holding the wheel on!!

    change the hub, thats what i did when i stripped three of the threads in the rear hub. mine was rear drivers side as well lol

    cost me £20 for a second hand hub and bearing, and bought a hub puller, angle grinder and some LM greese

    i bought the angle grinder as the inner race (i think its called) 99% of the time gets stuck on the stub pin, and hey presto mine was stuck lol

    just need to drill a narrow pilot hole and drill these in and its a reverese thread on the end so should turn the bolts out how ever these are very hard which also makes them very brittle so its well known for them to snap, your local gargae should have these and should be able to do it for you

    had this problem piss easy to sort buy some stud extractors from ebay then drill into the centre of the snapped stud but be sure to be central all the way through attach the extractor and you will be able to remove the snapped stud.
