fill it, smooth it, then get a pro to paint it.

so it would essentially look all smooth without the nobbly bits dashboards tend to have? how much you think a full dash would cost to get sprayed ? I am tempted to DIY it but imagine the disaster D:

ive got white sticker stuff on mine which was done by the previous owner ( it looks tacky) so im guna spray it white at some point

If it's smooth like paint, it'll be a complete nightmare with sun glare. Hence why dashboards have a textured surface in the first place and race cars have a flocked dash.

was thinking a flocked dash but would it look shite in white?

Flocked white dash looks crazy mate they look really nice But you wouldn't have to spray some sort of protection on it and will be pretty hard to keep spotless. But if you have a clean job ad no kids i would go for it.

I am 18 and I don't plan on having kids , I am saving up for my first car as my test is next month, I want white race seats a omp steering wheel and a flocked white dash, however I smoke which may be an issue?

Smoking will kill the White flock mate. Won't last a week. Stick to a dark colour or give up smoking lol

Would black flock go well with white racing seats or should they be black too? I want white rims too so I want it colour coded nicely.

When you say racing seats, what do you mean? Like buckets?

    Please don't tell me it's going in a 1.1??

Insurance will bum me, was contemplating a 1.1 conversion and don't tell the insurance... But part of me says a 1.6 vtr and sell it after as a little project?

Nah I wouldn't run a conversion without insuring it, hate to sound like an old man but it's not worth the hassle.

furio's are good mate look the same as a vtr/s and they are a little nippy 1.4 75bhp a vtr is only 90-98bhp

Hmm, might take the chance, but not sure if the Furio will bum me for insurance too.... If not I could always sell the car on, least I could learn a bit about modifying in the meantime.

why not ring up a few insurers and find out what the craic is between each model.

another thing you will have to remember is you have a manchester postcode, this almost certainly makes you and F as with most big cities, i had to settle for a furio for i too am an f* postcode being leeds and the difference between vt and 1.4 was a fucking joke !!
