what are your opinions on the powerflex kits?

looking at getting the full kit for my gti

    lower engine mount

    wishbone bushes

    anti roll bar bushes

do any of you have them fitted?

Overpriced when there are other cheaper alternatives that are just as good if not better.

ive got the anti roll bar and wishbone ones on my gti and think they are worth it. Seem to tighten up the front, and can definatly notice an a difference mate.

Cant comment on the engine mount one as I havent got one, trying to get one at the moment though

do they make a lot of difference with handeling and wear? or do you think it makes the ride to stiff?
  5. #5
Engine mount makes the most significant difference. Should be the first one you replace.

But like I say, buy from elsewhere and itll cost half the price.

My car vibrates alittle at the moment and been told to check the engine mount so will be changing that one first anyway

But what I wanted to know is that would the uprated mount make it vibrate a bit still? Or would it be like a normal mount, Just stronger?

I think the lower mount makes it vibrate slightly more over a standard mount, but I dont think its much

wonder if my car already has one as it vibrates a little... like through the revs and that

my top mount went on a old gti i had the one under the ecu and the car vibrated like hell... my gti i have now does this but nowhere near as bad so maybe its an uprated lower mount? will give it a look at lol

Have a look at flo flex.

I bought a set direct from them a few days ago, was a much better price.

Do their prices on the website include vat/delivery?

seen a few things with flo flex not fitting right but they replaced those sets no questions and the new ones were ok so just check everything on them

i like polyrace stuff personally but the frotn arb mounts arent available for the s2 106/saxo

there ive got the black harder spec powerflex items and they seem allright

my saxo has powerflex bits all over and they are allright but as said you pay for a name when theres stuff out there cheaper

its not every set just 2 sets of front wishbone bushes ive seen where the inserts were too small a diameter for the bush

probably something they pay a lot more attention too now and quite an obvious thing but its worth checking before you get the bush into the wishbone then see the inserts too small

I used APS Cars bushes which were cheaper aswell as the other well known ones.
