Imobiliser light flashing car won't start

My Daughters Citroen saxo Forte 1.1 2002 had a broken key in the ignition barrel and no spare key . So down to the local scrapyard and removed a set off locks ignition barrel from a 2000 saxo all fitted and car won't start .
Can anyone tell me what I have to do next to get the car started ?

    Thanks

    You`ve possibly locked the ecu.

does it have a key fob? Have you tried disconnecting the battery. And finally what key are you using now, if its a different key you will need your old key close to the ignition barrel so the transponder can pick up the original keys chip.

How do we unlock the ECU ?

You will need unlocked ecu, the immoboliser is a little black box around the back of the glovebox..

It needs to be proffessionally unlocked by someone with the correct software.

Its because your new key has the wrong chip in it for the immoboliser, if you take the steering wheel cowling off around the end of the barrel is the code reader, if you remove that off the barrel and put your old key inside it and start the car with your new key, (it should then start) once its running under the passenger side of the dash behind the fuse box there will be a little black box for the immoboliser, unplug that and then turn the car off, that will deimmobolise the ecu which is all they do when unlocking. The car should start with your new key without the old key being in the code reader, if not itl cost you £100-£125 to have the ecu unlocked as its a 3 plug, hope this helps
