Remote central locking doesn't like cold?

This may sound a bit strange, but my central locking seems to be a bit temperamental in the cold weather. When I go to leave in the mornings for work, it often takes a lot of persuasion to unlock (frantically pressing the button as I'm usually in a rush). Yet once the car has warmed up, and I park up, it unlocks and locks just fine.

Wasn't sure if the time I was leaving it had anything to do with it, or if the cold was affecting it. Either way it's not a massive issue (yet) but it's just one of the final little things I'd like to tidy up on my car

cold weather will be just freezing the mechanism.

try insulate the doors a bit, and spray wd40 on the appropriate parts.

remember saxo doors are like paper!!!

True that, although surely it'd still click when I lock and unlock it, even if they were a bit stuck?

the click is the moving mechanism, no movement, no click.

    so no, not necessarily

Would the indicators still flash in that case? Mine don't when I do it, but if this is the problem, I wonder if anyone else has it too!
