    What you reckon?

I've got a Mauritious VTS and was thinking of silver and white?
  2. #2
    Yellow

Been done to death, I know most things have on the saxo scene but was thinking of white for the strut brace, then doing the rocker cover the same color white and then changing some of the piping to the same colour, opinions guys?

White looks so good for engine bays, only problem is keeping things sparkly clean.
  5. #5
White or cream would look cool

Interior isn't being touched, I think white sprayed interior parts looks really tacky. Looks like I will be spraying my new strut brace white then and some other parts

    Cheers guys

White samcos look good, along with cam cover, brackets, with other stuff matt black.

Im not a fan of white in the engine bay tbh, i reckon a lairy colour would suit it better.. red, yellow, colour coded even? to keep it subtle?

Anything more than the rocker covers painted looks cheap. Unless your going the whole hog such as painting the block and wire tucking I wouldn't bother just gloss black
  13. #13
Do the rocker covers get hot enough that you need heat resistant paint?
  14. #14
Ideally yes, not sure how long "paint" would last before is starts cracking. Powder coating is probably best bet.

Any paint is heat proof its the amount you apply that makes it crack / flake. Powder coating is the better option as long as its not the cheap powder they use as oil / petrol can make it bloom and go milky.

everytime ive had a white rocker cover, after a few months the paint starts to turn yellowish and looks crap lol

That's because the pigment used in white is titanium oxide. When titanium warms up it goes yellow.
