Help needed with BMC

  1. #1
i've just bought a BMC induction kit and the instructions arnt very clear. What do i do with the oil breather pipe? And also how do you fit the air intake pipe as the size dont match, so do you use a jubilee clip to secure it? Any help will be appricated and i need it urgently.

    Thank you

You need an oil breather for the oil breather pipe. That should not come with it and you should need to buy one. Not too sure why the air intake does not fit should do.

Sorry but don't know the size as mine came with it. Sorry bud. If you ask a car shop ie halfords they should be able to tell you.

my breathers a 20mm inlet. came with my bmc. the black ducting they give you is 70mm i think. get some 60mm and use the reducer that should have been with the kit. and use jubille clips!

i have changed the silver ducting to 60mm right angle radiator hose because it kept splitting.

    have you fitted it yet?

Never fitted a BMC before, but was wondering if something like this would be suitable instead of using the breather filter?

BTW thats for a MK1 VTS!

You should have been supplied the BMC CDA 70-130 kit and the breather filter to fit is the 12mm. Part number SA12-40

    sorry, forgot to mention

12-40 is the 16V part number or its 20-40 for the 8V
